Born in Bogota, Colombia – Raised in the Netherlands.
Lives and works in Amsterdam.
Surface and subject of her works are dedicated to the questions of identity:
that of paint and painting itself, as well as the identity of what or who appears in imagery.
Her paintings strongly resists the superstition that darkness and matter are merely negative qualities: she brings both into play to advocate the dark matter that is hidden from us by the bright coloured, artificial limelight of depersonalizing corporate imagery.
By doing so, her works offers the opposite of bling bling: real persons, surrounded by the edgy atmosphere of urban globalisation.
